Onsite medical gas testing · repair · verification

The medical gas service company that shows its work.

Annual testing, repairs, and ASSE 6030 verification for hospitals in Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, and Ohio. Every outlet, valve, and alarm is recorded as it is tested, with the photo that backs it up, and the facility gets the whole record — not a summary.

Lantern Service is the onsite arm of Lantern Medical, the Greenwood, Indiana company behind Lantern Academy and Lantern Trace.

What we do

The work a hospital medical gas system needs, from people who also teach it.

Annual inspection and testing

Outlets and inlets, zone valves, area and master alarms, manifolds and source equipment, booms and ceiling columns — walked floor by floor, room by room, with a pass, a fail with a reason, or an unable-to-test for every active outlet.

Repairs and deficiency correction

Failed outlets, valves that will not seat, alarms out of range. Found on the test and written up on the spot — fixed on the same visit when the parts allow, otherwise on a scheduled return.

ASSE 6030 verification

Verification of new and modified medical gas piping before it carries patient gas: cross-connection, purity, particulate, and the documentation the authority having jurisdiction expects.

Equipment and parts

Outlets, valves, alarm components, and source-equipment parts for the systems we test, with the labeling and records to go with them.

The record

You get everything we saw.

We record the test in Lantern Trace, our own field app: every outlet with who tested it, when, with what result, and a photo. Deficiencies stay open until someone closes them. At the end of each day your director gets a plain-language recap of the floors covered — what passed, what failed, what needs a return visit — and the annual report is produced from that record, not written up afterward from memory.

We teach your team to need us less. Facilities technicians who go through Lantern Academy can run periodic self-inspections between annuals in the same record we use.

Scheduling an annual, or need something looked at?

Call and a technician answers. Tell us the facility, the number of outlets if you know it, and when your last test was.
